I pulled my front axle apart so I could start restoring it in case I need it. I was curious about the ratio but all the is is a bunch of gobbledygook I can't decipher.
The numbers on the big gear are
0951 11 6 86 spicert32957ma1aa571 46 ' 13
Does anyone know how to decipher that? I'd like to know what's in the four certain before I go cleaning it.
All four cylinder Eagles came with 3.54:1 ratios.
Ring gear diameter 7 9/16".
Pinion/Ring Gear combo: 13/46.
Works for me. Just looks like the old guy have stuff rimmed everywhere.
46 / 13 = 3.53846154

So the last 2 #'s are the tooth counts per gear.. First load are probably a part, ID or Serial #.
