Title: Ebay SX4 has a new home at Rambler Ranch
Post by: nashkid on March 24, 2014, 09:36:40 PM
Many of you looked at the SX4 on Ebay in Colorado but the car ended with out any bids. Shipping is so expensive these days its hard to buy a car out of your area. Lucky for me the Dave send me an email that the car had not sold and was in my area so I was able to make a deal and rescue the car. It is a 1 owner car but has been sitting outside for years so it will need complete restoration.  It will be on the list to restore after the Turbo wagon, I hope to have the Turbo wagon ready for the 2016 Eagle Motel trip.

Thanks again for saving it Terry.  It looked too nice to go to the crusher at such a young age.  And it was Eaglefreek who suggested I get in touch with you abou the car so he gets all the credit.

Sounds like they are going to have to expand the Eagle Motel by 2016!

And I hope Terry will allow me to drive it on the trip!

Good save! I wanted it really bad but I was a little short on the money I have. I'm glad it didn't get pancaked.  :eagle:

I was at a scrap yard a few years back when I lived in Colorado, scraping some aluminum storefront frames. A flatbed pulled in with a decent looking SX4. It even had the uncommon skid plate. I asked if it could be bought and they said, no. Once it goes through the gate, it gets crushed.
