A guy stopped bye today and asked if I was the "Eagle man". I told him I have had many Eagles, and he said he has one for sale. The story is that he parked it about 6 years ago because it would not pass smog. He thought he placed it on non-operation status, but now the DMV says he owes $600 in back fees as they have no record of the non-op. He wants to sell it so it can be put back on the road, and not scrapped. It would probably be best if someone from a close State bought it that does not care about back registration fees in CA. He will be getting some photos for me soon. He said it ran great when he parked it.......Rich
EDIT: He wants to get $800 for the car....Rich
Wagon?

With the little bit of wheel showing, it looks like they may be 15" V6 Mustang wheels.

Looks like those could definitely be them.
Does anybody know what year? I've got an 81 sport wagon and it looks similar. One difference is mine has a 4x4 decal on both rear fenders. Does anyone know if this is a stock decal? Thanks
I believe that was a stock decal found on some Eagles as an option. You can still find them on eBay.

Prafeston: Thanks for the link. I thought I had seen them on Eagles back in the day. My memory is foggy from those college years. :)
Here you can see it on an old brochure. Located where you'd find the SX/4 logo on the SX/4s.

HI thank you Rollguy for getting that information we all appreciate that....how is the 4 door sedan coming along ...............don
hey All...this is Jim...1st of all. thx to Rich for posting this. I had one interested party from MI...but shipping was just too much, for it to happen. And... I don't want anyone to think I only registered to sell this car... my 1st car EVER was a 66 Ambassador, and I've had AMC's, & Ramblers throughout the years. I already have my eye on my next Eagle Wagon, and am trying to get it. I just sold my 660 wagon, as well.
Thing is...I'm at a new job, running a hunting dog training facility, and live there, so will be renting my house, and can't really have a bunch of cars in my yard. Sold all 7 of my Studebakers, and am down to just a few cars left (78 Nova, Eagle, and a really rare 71 Torino 500 wagon /351 ) I do NOT want to see my Eagle wagon get scrapped... but it NEEDS to go...1st $500 takes it, as is. needs a battery, starter rely, coil, etc to start..but has a brand new Dist. Comes with the Mustang Rims/tires. Engine/trans always ran good. oh yeah...needs a half shaft, but drives in 2 wheel.
BTW... there is a remarkably complete Concord at pick a Part in Hesperia (Santa Fe Ave) cyaaa.. jim
why do these things always have to be so far away? :'(
