After a few hours cleaning I found this and put it in an '84 Wagon. Does anyone know what is supposed to attach to the bracket thats welded onto the top middle of the valve cover?(http://i995.photobucket.com/albums/af75/Bill21_2010/Mobile%20Uploads/20140301_164611_zpsy4o8c4wd.jpg) (http://s995.photobucket.com/user/Bill21_2010/media/Mobile%20Uploads/20140301_164611_zpsy4o8c4wd.jpg.html)
There is a vacuum line assembly that goes there I think.
Here are a couple pictures of my 1980 engine. I believe the engine is pretty stock and very complete. There is nothing attached to that bracket on my engine.

But nothing attached. As a side note what is attached to the bracket above the PS pump?

smog pump
Why would you want to pump smog.. :rotfl: JK..
Hoping there was where the air ride pump went.. Maybe the covers were used from the jeeps or something and that's why that bracket is there on 1 and not the other.
That bracket on the cover was used in Pacers to mount the offset air cleaner assembly.

Hello everyone, Just surfing the "engine" picts and noticed that the fuel filters shown are not properly positioned ... the smaller of the two output lines is suppose to be at 12 oclock ... I know it really doesn't make much difference normally, but it's to prevent vapor lock on hot days. Just sayin' Regards, Iron Horse :o
