Title: My 1982 Eagle (Back On)
Post by: Mattke on February 10, 2014, 04:08:07 PM
Good afternoon everyone.  Some of you may remember me from about four years ago.  I was assigned to Belgium then and kept my Eagle in the hopes I would return, but alas, I will not.  At least to South Dakota.

So here goes.  I have a 1982 Eagle in Rapid City South Dakota that Im offering on here first.  I want her to go to a good home and I know someone here could take great care of her.  I had a friend watch over her for the last four years, driving her and keeping her seal in good shape.  She's in good shape and I think a starting price of $2,000 would suit me fine.  I cannot get it to anyones as Ill be in Florida for my next assignment, so the respondant will have to go pick her up.

She's already for the north as you know and is mechanically sound.  Dont have a recent photo, but heres one I took before I left.

Some unique hard to find items come with this wonderful lady.  For instance I have the original Air accessories that connect to the compressor in the engine bay.  I found them in my spare tire area and its all intact.  Also I have a rubbermaid full of parts from Chrysler and O-Reilly's like brake lines and transmission seals.

Let me know if anyone is interested and lets see what we can do to get her to your home.  Have a great day everyone and talk to you later.

Paul

That's a beautiful wagon.  Somebody will be very lucky to end up with it.  Good luck on the sale!

That would be nice. My step-brother is a welder so he could probably hook me up.

alright I should find out tomorrow when my next day off is. oh and you will also need a heavy duty metal bender as there are some 90 degree bends and one piece is about a quarter of an inch thick.

We'll everyone the car is sold to a gentleman in Oregon. Sounds like it found a good home too. I let him know about the Eagles nest so I imagine a new guy will be posting soon about my Eagle. He's getting a good one so he shouldn't have too much trouble.

Hope to join this special club again one day.

Nice to hear you got it sold and its going to a good home.  Don't be a stranger, you don't need to own an Eagle to participate in the discussion.  And your next Eagle may pop up here in the Den!

Well everyone I guess it was too good to be true.  The buyer pulled out this morning.

He felt bad about it, but he could not come up with the extra cost it would be to ship it, so I still own this great car.

Its back on the market.

I wonder how much that beauty would cost to ship to Nova Scotia. I have $2000 saved up atm and am looking for a new Eagle. ALMOST had one local but the old guy will just not let it go.

Could you PM me the address it's at? Going to do some inquiring with the shipping companies. Probably be almost $1000 to ship though. Probably cheaper to pay the gas and drive lol.

dang, you beat me to it!

I've learned before, if it sounds to good to be true, don't get your hopes up.  That pristine laser I was looking at was almost mine, and it was ripped out of my grasp.  I hope you find another buyer soon!
