Title: Replacement parts
Post by: SilentWolf8293 on February 06, 2014, 05:44:12 PM
Does anyone know of a good place where I can get cheap replacement parts? I got into a fender bender today and the grill and headlight cover are both broken. a new pair of forward fenders might also be in order.

sorry to hear about your accident. as far as parts go you'll have check junkyards as most of the body parts on our Eagles are not being reproduced by anyone.

Grills are not available new.  You'll have to pick up a used one.

We recently found a supplier in Mexico that has the headlight covers new.  I don't think anyone has ordered from him yet.  The price is right but I'm not sure what shipping might be.  He is very responsive if you send him an email.  The headlight covers look dark, like they are for a sport model, but I believe that it's only the picture that makes them look dark, I believe they are the chrome version.

Here is his web site, click on the Rambler tab on the left:

There maybe somebody out there that has fiberglas fenders for Eagles, but I'm not sure.  You may have to go used on those also.

Good luck!!

Do I have to talk to him in Spanish because I only have a very rough grasp of the language.

No, if you email him he'll respond in English.

Thanks for the reply's guys. I was sitting in class today talking to one of my friends about the Eagle and the damage she took and one of the guys piped up that his grandmother had a few old eagles that don't work. He said he would go to her place, take a look around, and then get back to me if he had the part I need. But if he doesn't i'll be sure to check out the sites you sent me to. Thanks again for all the help

If there are some good parts available I'm sure others would be interested also!  If you can get an idea of what might be available, that would be great.
