Buddy of mine in Chicago sent me this photo a couple days ago. I gave him props for even recognizing it was an Eagle! :)

Wow, it looks like a mini car between those SUVs.
That's what I said! The wagon is so big I was blown away how tiny it looked next to those behemoths! ;D
You know what though, keep in mind, if you look at the dimensions of an Eagle, it would be considered a compact by todays standards. Cars longer than an Eagle? Passat, Camry, Accord, Altima, Fusion. Same size within 3 inches? A4, Cruze, Jetta, Corolla, etc.
Now, this car could use some new springs. Mine was running waiting in line to go into the service department at work for an oil change (the only thing I really DONT do...I HATE changing oil) and with it at proper to even slightly higher than stock ride height, it towered over everything else.
This one doesn't appear to be sagging to much. It's got a pretty even height front to back.

Totally! It's almost like it got photo-shopped and made smaller. The wheel/tire combo on the Eagle is smaller than the wheels on that Escalade.
it looks like there's more ground clearance with the eagle then the other two.
It does look like what it was, a compact car of the '70s and '80's.

The front looks lower to me; that's what caught my attention.

Exactly. I think sometimes people think our cars are larger than they are because A) Everybody seems to think all old cars are bigger (false...especially weight...new cars are comparitively a LOT heavier) and B) The height makes them look larger up close. These were compacts the same way a new Cruze or Impreza is.
does that mean you could park in the "compact car" only spots in a parking garage, right next to the elevator? ;D
