Title: mystery bulb socket

I found a yellow and black bulb socket that runs from the lower passenger side to the gauge area. where the heck does it go to ? ???

No pic. not that smart. goes from lower passenger across whole dash it has one brown and one yellow with a light bulb on the end

could be a foot well bulb or the one in the glovebox?

Your car is an 81 that was originally sold in California right?

If so, that is probably the bulb socket for the "Check Engine" light. Only 1981 models had the ECM with a check engine light.

Its from California. actually the onr off Hemmings. didn't know they had a glove box light
