1980 AMC RSV electric hybrid? The eagle II in 1980?? Is this for real? Anybody know anything? I saw a picture and now I'm curious. Where is this car now?
I saw Concord and Spirit electric cars, but no hybrids.

While you're looking, look for the 1979 Spirit that was made with a Stirling External Combustion Engine. I would love to see more information about that car.

Oh that's awesome. Thanks! The link that shows the actual engine out of the car and basic design specifications is much more than I ever hoped to find.
It's pretty cool to hear the rumor that a VAM Lerma was in the mix.
Here is a list of all the AMC Prototypes throughout the years.

The RSV Eagle II Hybrid was a car produced in conjunction with Minicars Inc. You can find more info on the car by searching Minicar RSV. I'm not sure if they ever finished a complete RSV Eagle II. Many of the RSVs were destroyed...I think there are only 2 left today.
Here are some great links about the Minicar RSV.
