There will soon be another wagon in the Denver U Pull N Pay near 68th and Broadway. I was up there today scavenging a few last parts of the wagon that I found a month ago, and as I was leaving I saw another wagon in the prep area. Looks like I'll be heading up there again next week!
You can see one of those Grand Wagoneer style Grand Cherokees in the background. I had never seen one until Shanebo posted about them a few weeks ago. I also saw one driving on the highway a couple weeks back.

Keep us posted on what you find. I would love to find a non-feedback carb, a drivers seat frame and a vacuum actuator if it's still good.. I could use a few other misc. parts if they are available too.
Always on the hunt for speaker grills
And like everyone would love to have a cargo cover in tan, or black even, have a home made one now

WOW Dave! Some people have all the luck! I'd be as happy as a pig in slop or a kid in a candy store with a pocket full of money if I ever found a eagle in a wrecking yard around here. But never the less everytime you find one we all benifit. So keep up the nice work.
Thanks eagleman. I've been on a hot streak lately, but there aren't nearly as many Eagles in the yards as there used to be. The yard with the soon to be two Eagles hadn't had any in two years. The one that's closest to me (owned by the same company) its been almost three years. There is another yard in town that gets one about every 3-4 months. These all post their inventory online so its easy to see when a new one comes in. There is one more yard close by that doesn't post their inventory, but I stop by there every once in awhile. Seems like I find a couple per year.
I'm glad I can help out by grabbing parts for people. I enjoy going to junkyards, especially the old-school ones where they just keep adding more cars and never thinning out the herd, not like the ones near me, where cars last about 4-6 weeks and then its off to the crusher. There aren't many of those old style yards left around here.

When I lived in CO from '06-'09, I would go to the junkyard and see sometimes 5 Eagles in a row. I wish I would have hoarded some parts back then.
It's too bad someone could not get the whole car before it gets prepped. I have done that before with a Mercedes Benz. It has a salvage title, but I didn't care. It would have to be gotten before it is prepped, because they don't usually take much care in taking the parts off that are required to before it goes out in the yard (gas tank, exhaust system etc.).

Yes, that's the way I remember it also. There was ALWAYS an Eagle in the junkyard. Most of that time pre-dates my Eagle ownership so I had no desire to grab any parts.
This wagon just got listed in their online inventory today, so I'll be heading up there tomorrow morning to look it over. Its listed as a 1980. If anybody is in need of something in particular, let me know within the next 12 hours and I'll try to pick it up for you. Thanks.
Okay, I've got my shopping list. If anybody thinks of anything else they need let me know in the next couple of hours, I'll get your PM on my phone. Wish me luck.
If it has a honey colored cargo cover in good shape I may be interested in that.
Here are some pictures of the latest wagon in the yard. Its a real FrankenEagle - I counted three different colors on the inside. It was in kind of rough shape, nothing too distinctive about it other than its an 80. I grabbed the grill, the hatch hinges, the side rear window trim for captspillane, and the radio bezel, which is the same cinammon color as my interior. There was no cargo cover, and the handle was busted off the hood release. The junkyard was turning into a giant mudpie because the foot of snow we got last week was melting, so I didn't stick around too long.

I am needing a left front bumper end and both rear bumper ends for a 82 limited sedan. If you come across those.
Interesting, chrome sport mirrors.

Interesting, chrome sport mirrors.
The passenger side was non-remote also.
If it's not too late, drivers door electric window cable, pleeze!

Sounds a lot like the ones on my SX/4. No remote on the passenger and looks like the chrome spots mirrors. But I've been told they aren't. Just a popular aftermarket mirror at the time.
Anyone taking that Grill off you Dave? P.S. I'll be rolling through in Mid-April. Probably stopping a few days in Denver. Let's meet!

Manual windows. Plus this one went to the crusher months ago.

Let me know when you're coming through. Maybe we can arrange a tour of the Rambler Ranch when you're in town.

I think I need a set of mirrors for Kammy, I'm using the SX4 doors and those don't have mirrors.
Still on the lookout for front trim and light buckets on the cheap.
