Title: Gasoline smell
Post by: donnyeagle on February 13, 2013, 09:21:30 AM
I consistently have a gasoline smell coming from underneath my Eagle. So far all of the lines are dry and do not seem to be leaking. The smell does not seem to be coming from anywhere specific. There are no spots on the ground under that car that show leaking gas. Could it have to do with the vapor canister or possibly the engine is running very rich or could it be a bad/clogged cat?

Check the vapor cannister for cracks and while you're at it, see if the bottom of the fuel pump is clean. (that's a sign that it's shot and leaking fuel, which cleans off the grease)
