Any advice on mounting it up there?
I'm hoping the easy answer is also the right answer, that would be ideal...
I'm just a bit nervous about putting holes in my roof.
(While were at it, any new news on hatch hinges, anyone?)
I will suggest to post your hinge dilemna in the wanted section.
If I were you, I'd leave the wagon rackless. The roof rack delete wagons are relatively rare, and have a nice clean look to them. Not to mention the lack of leakage problems.
If you decide to put the rack on, you will need to drill holes the proper size to fit "well nuts". I believe they are available from the eaglenest store (if it is still open).
It's the opposite up here, I may have the ONLY roof rack, as it's the only one I've ever seen.
That being said, I'm not going to mount anything on the rack itself, I'm going to make a basket that fits within the rack, and put rubber bumpers on the bottom....
Sounds a bit strange, but I'm going to make it work.
I don't like how high most of the baskets I have seen are, so it's going to be low and shallow.
It makes me feel sort of bad though...
If you like that nice clean look you might be horrified when I'm done with this beast, sorry :(
In addition I'm planning on coming up with a set of liberty roof lights and an s10/blazer visor if I can find them...
I am concerned about leaks though... I'm willing to bear with it if necessary.
Don't worry, when I do this, I will swap out my pristine headliner and give it away here.
Anyone have a maroon interior? ::)
Aha! I can get the wellnuts here?! I had given up on that and was trying to find a way around it, I'll go check, thank you.
I haven't heard that our store had re-opened.
