Without pictures it's going to be difficult to help you diagnose your problem. May I suggest you take the card from your camera and plug it into a public computer at your local library. You will need a Photobucket account to load pictures to this forum. Here's how to do it: http://forums.amceaglenest.com/index.php?topic=6725.0 (http://forums.amceaglenest.com/index.php?topic=6725.0)
Welcome to the Eagle Nest, and good luck finding your problem.
I finally took a couple pics. Mine is lower and forward by quite a bit.

OK...I see the steering gear is already lowered. Now, exactly how does it behave when you drive it? Does it wander? Is it tracking straight? Does it try to change lanes when you step on the brakes? Are the front tires wearing unevenly?

Ralph, the pics of the steering box are from my Eagle for Toby to reference. He hasn't hooked up his steering or driven it yet.
Sorry but Rick is rite I havnt got to drive mine yet, but hopefully soon.
Here are some more pics from Toby. He temporarily hooked up the steering so he could move it out of the shop.

OOPS :-[ I should have known...your pics were clearly headed with your screen name. I posted in a hurry and just didn't notice what I was doing. Now back to the regularly-scheduled thread... :eagle:
Ok everyone im going to take the Eagle for its first fly since the sas. I hope all goes well. I will post later today how it goes.
Well, how'd it go? What did you do to get the steering to work?
Soory guys I had a family emergancy so I didnt even get to work on it. I got it on the hoist n took the front wheels off n had to rush out. So with ne luck I will b able to get it done this week. Sorry
I had time this after noon to build the sway bar mount brakets.
It drives wonderfull. I bought a 6.5 in drop pitman arm for a 92 xj n it fit pretty good. Im alittle close to the front dif but I think it will b ok for a bit. Im going to upgrade to a high steer kit from an mj soon thow. I also noticed the rear dif angle is almost to much so I will also have to change the rear blocks. The last thing I have to fix is the ujiont n wheel bearing on the left front.
Good to hear.
With the engine crossbar gone, the frame will spread open unless you add a cross brace. I'd add one for the steering box as well so you don't crack the frame.
These front blocks look scary to me!

For lifted rigs, this is the best way to set up steering.

I'd also go with a full size Jeep (Grand Wagoneer) front diff (D44 driver's side drop) or YJ with high steer knuckles and get the tierods above the leaf springs.

I only had them blocks in there for a mock up. They r not in there now. I appreciate the pic for the steering n I will have to do that. Will the nukles from the mj jeep work they have the high steer kit from the factory. I will also make sure to put a cross member in to keep the frame from spreding. As far as the gear box how shuld I plate that. Thanks for the info
Can you give any info on the leafs that you used front and rear?

Unfortunately, he hasn't been back here since Dec 2012.
