Was wanting to know if there is a upgraded wiring harness for these cars? I am planning to add the fog lights to it & upgrade all the bulbs an headlights on the car. When I check my turn signals they are real slow at flashing was wanting to know what I could do to fix this?
I believe if you change your flashier located in the fuse block just a plug in your turn signals will work just fine.
Did you check to make sure all the bulbs were working on the turn signals system? Usually if the signals are slow one of the bulbs is out. Otherwise it could be that someone replaced the flasher with one for more bulbs.
all the lights work on the car just when you turn on the turn signal it takes like over 10-20 seconds for it to flash again.
I would think a bad ground or wrong wattage bulb could do it. The mechanical flasher is calibrated to the car's light load.
An electronic flasher, like is used for LED conversions or trailer towing, would solve it as well.
Keep in mind that the flasher that's on the fusebox is NOT the turn signal flasher; that's only the emergency flasher. The TS flasher is hanging up above the left kick panel, and is a pain to get to without disassembling some dash stuff.
By golly AMC of Houston you are right about the flasher location. My mistake

I concur. That is one of those "What were they thinking?" situations.
For sure!! When I have one that needs changing, I just hire a Cirque de Soleil contortionist to come out and swap it for me!! Easier than messing with the dash stuff.
ok I will check an see if that is it an let you know. Going to have to fix it before it passes inspection plan to get the exhaust an tie rods fixed monday an get it inspected.
