My 83 SX/4 needs a new home. Currently has the engine compartment emptied due to planned 4.0 swap that never happened. I have ALL parts that have been removed except for the flex plate and torque converter.
Vehicle was running fine until it started having a ticking noise coming from the rear of the engine. Mechanic swore it was a rod knock so I started tearing down the engine. Once the engine came out I saw that the flex plate was just cracked and it should have been a much easier fix.

Would like to sell whole since it is in good shape. Had the motorcraft carb kit installed on it and will include with the car along with the original carter. Located in Grass Valley CA

This is available again, FREE now, just come and get it.
Wow, if the body is rust free it would be worth someone having it shipped back to the midwest. :occasion14:
I know it. If I did not have my eye on a '64 American Convertible I would be considering it.
:o
Looks like a nice one for someone either to fix or use for parts. Please don't let it go to scrapyard heaven.
Looks like it has perfect endcaps all around too.
I was going to suggest this would be a good one for Rollguy, as he has been know to take in stray Eagles, but its a long way from him, even though its in CA.
If I were home, I would come out and grab that car. I live in Wyoming but am deployed right now.

Yes I would love to get it if it were closer. I think it should go to the sanctuary at Capt'ns place.
Hi. I know I'm new to the forum and all but I've got to ask ,Do you still have this eagle and if so how can I contact you to arrange a pick up? I live in New Mexico and my wife would love this car. Can it be towed on a car dolly? Please let me know asap. Thank you.
Your best bet is probably to contact the OP with a private message here on the forum.
Done and Done! Thank you.
This is still here, I need it gone. I would rather it go to someone who appreciates Eagles so it has a better chance of being put to good use or put back on the road. If I still have it at the end of the month it will be going on craigslist and if it is still here at the end of April I will end up calling a scrap yard to come and get it. I can help load it on your trailer or if you are near by I might be able to arrange some help with delivering it but it needs to go!!!
Come and get it. I am in downtown Grass Valley, CA 95945.
God Damnit, why isn't this the Liechtenstein. Put the car in a letter and mail it to me in Montreal, Canada.
If I remember correctly, Grass Valley is near Lake Tahoe? That would be quite a trip for me, but I may have to just plan on it soon. I can't see this car going for scrap, and I won't let it happen on my watch! I will do my best to save it....Rich

Closer to Reno. It's 90 miles west of Reno and 65 miles east of Sacramento on I-80 :eagle:
man if this wasn't clear across the US from me I would be all over it :eaglebig:
I loved Reno and Lake Tahoe when I went years ago. Took a tour of the western T.V. set they have by the lake.
My favorite place I have visited so far is Lake Tahoe between Christmas and New Years 1999. So still and quiet. All we could hear was the lapping of the water on the shore because the air was so thin and cold sound didn't carry very far.
I am getting shipping quotes to bring it to the midwest, I will gladly get it out of your driveway if they do not want an arm and a leg.

Congrats! Its always good to see another Eagle saved! Thumbs up!
OUTSTANDING!!! :occasion14:
I hope the car is saved, but if you or the new owner have no need for the A/C parts, if the car is eqiuipped, I would like to buy the parts, I'm located in San Jose, CA, so I can pick up the bits.

The car will get repaired, and put back on the road, not parted....Rich
Well it's Monday evening and I have the trailer hitched up and the truck full of fuel. I will be leaving Hesperia about 4:20 am Tuesday. I hope to arrive in Grass Valley about noon, and I will get some photos of loading and such. Stay tuned.......Rich
Have a safe trip. Glad she is finally getting a home :)
Safe travels!
The eagle has been loaded and is gone. Thanks!!
