Title: 4wd diagram
Post by: Stomper on October 03, 2012, 12:08:39 PM
I am looking for a wiring diagram for the 4wd system.. I switch between 2 to 4 wheel and feel no difference.. Going through alot of gas and have severe tire wear quickly so I am starting to think this may be the case.. My mechanic requested I look for the diagram..
Thx

A properly working 4wd system shouldn't really feel any different when it's switched between 2wd and 4wd, it doesn't affect fuel mileage to a real measurable degree, and it shouldn't affect tire wear either.  You probably need to look elsewhere, such as an alignment issue.  The early Eagles were full time 4wd with a non selectable transfer case, and didn't have any of the issues you're describing, so even if your car was stuck in 4wd, it wouldn't make a huge difference.

tire wear needs explanation. as 4wd on an eagle doesn't get hungry for tires.

maybe a helpfull thread for you is this.
