I think I have 1994 Jeep Cherokee coming my way in trade for a 97 Ply neon.
Has anyone tried to put a full 318 driveline into an sx/4 before?
I'll know more tomorrow on the vehicle trade but the gears in my head are smokin from turnin
so fast right now.
Cherokee's never came with a 318. 4 and 6 cylinders only....Grand Cherokee maybe?
I havent seen that one before but I say go for it!!

Could be a Grand not sure yet I've only seen it from a block away so far.
Either way I'll get my axles and hopefully a lot more.
Does any one know if the T5 (unknown sourced by PO)
in my sx/4 will bolt to a 318 ?
T5 won't work without a bunch of fab work. The 318 has a Chrysler bolt pattern. Maybe you can find an AX15 from a Dakota.
So far this Jeep is to nice to gut so I'll take care of its repairs and try to sell it rather than strip it. Should be able to move it pretty fast up here in this season. Then I'll have more money for the Eagle trio
Grand Cherokees have a bad rep for auto trans and barely out of single digit fuel economy. Winter is good for selling them, but if the tcase is nv249, they tend to blow up....suddenly.

Agree with you on the trans (my 01 Grand went through 3 before It got a good one) and the NV-249...Economy though, I regularly get 19+ on the highway, and mine has the 242 transfer case...much better unit.
