Here is a switch for intermittent wipers.  If you think you want it, shoot me a PM.

Thanks for any help! Im kinda freaking out a bit... this was like the WORST time to have this die on me  :-[

Its a 1986, and does have a tilt wheel.

To be honest im not quite sure what kind of wipers it has, I THINK it used to move into two postions when turned to the right, but it was starting to get weird towards the end so im not sure what it was actually doing (may have been turning in the dash) If it did have two postions going to the right those were two speeds correct?

Those are the part numbers id found, With those part numbers is it possible to  get it through an auto parts store?

I've read that the wiper switch from the 80s Ford Trucks/Bronco is the same. I looked it up, and the parts stores carry it, the picture looks the same. I believe people have done it on here. But I think the hole in the dash needs to be made a little wider in diameter as the switch is just a tad bigger. Hopefully somebody will chime in.

I once had one that I thought was 2 speed because it didn't turn to the left.  I finally realized it was stiff because it hadn't been used for a very long time.  After I sorta forced it I discovered I had intermittent wipers.
I do know the one in the picture is intermittent and I'm sure it came from an Eagle.

If it DOES have int wipers will a NON int switch prevent it from working? what about vice versa?

There is an alignment tab on int switches that non-int don't have so they won't fit together accidentally and fry the wiring.

Ground wire I think (since the dash is plastic)

I think so, too.  From what I understand from other people's problems, ground is often a problem with these switches.  I think some have made a separate ground to some solid metal - thing.

I bought an intermittent setup from a late '70's model. It doesn't fit, The problem is that the thread part is larger than the hole.

Does the later (Eagle) intermittent replacement switch fit an '85's dash?

The switch is still available new (someone might find the link to the part number I posted a year or so ago) Napa number was WS something. It was for an '81 F150 pickup.

What about the delay unit, are they still available new? I believe that's where my problem lies.

I don't know if the delay units are available new.  I picked up some of the Ford units over the weekend to see if they work with the Eagle.  It appears that Ford changed the design of the wiper switches somewhere around 80-81.  Prior to that time they had 7 electrical posts, and I believe they would replace the AMC switch fine.  The ones I picked up were all mid-80s or sooner, and have only 6 electrical posts.  When you plug them into the AMC, they operate the wipers fine, but no windshield washers.  I'm going to keep playing with the wiring to see if I can get the Ford switch to operate everything.  I'll keep everyone posted.

I have an '81 F100 pickup wiper switch and box in my '81 Eagle wagon and it works (did the same with my '82 Spirit) Maybe the one you got has a bad push button?

Nope, I picked up 6 of them, tested 5 and the washer didn't work on any of them, which prompted me to start investigating .  There is definitely one less terminal on the later models.  I did some troubleshooting last night, and I think that by adding a terminal terminal back into the slot that still exists and a jumper wire it should work fine....stay tuned.  I'll try to post a picture showing the missing terminal.

Here is a picture of the AMC intermittent switch.  Notice the terminal with the green circle:

Here is the later model Ford intermittent wiper switch.  Its missing the terminal, but has a jumper on the switch to the missing terminal spot.  However, this results in no terminal at the downstream plug, where it plugs into the car wiring harness.  Therefore, no power to the washer.  I believe if I put a terminal into the downstream plug (the slot still exists), and jumper it to the wire that leads to terminal 2 (just like is done on the switch) everything will work fine.  Wish me luck!!

Then hook up a push button and wire it to that terminal. I always preferred mine to spray separately anyways.

That's another good option!
