I am looking to replace the license plate light on the 83 sx-4 but it doesn't seem to be replaceable there is a part number on it but haven't been able to find any type of match. The part number is truck lite 544

Try your local Chrysler/Jeep dealer; part number J3670544. Or you can mail-order; my favorite Jeeper place, Lambert Motors, show a few still in stock:

Not sure. They show up on that famous auction site quite often, so there MAY be an interchange with some other vehicle. I just don't know what that may be.
