I just want to make sure I don't get the wrong stuff.and if there is something better that super-cedes the original.
I just use the regular stuff.
I used Dextron 2 in mine and used it in the transfer case also.

Yes, this is what I use... I couldn't remember how to spell Dexron (or say it for that matter)... actually, I was having a total brain farrt, and I couldn't even remember the word.
But that's what I meant... Sorry for being so vague.
it's Dexron, no T. ;D Use the Dexron III or it might say Dexron/Mercon on the bottle. There is no reason to use the more expensive Dexron VI. The Torqueflight transmission is a Chrysler transmission and a lot of the Mopar guys like to use Type F for a firmer shift.

isnt the same dexron fluid used for my t4 manual car also??
Yup.
Yup. Your right, no T. my mistake. Should have went and looked before just thinking it was spelled with a T.
I called it Dextron for years until a buddy corrected me a couple years ago. ;D

Actually, yeah! Has a better ring to it, huh?
Same fluid in the tcase too!
Much thanks, think I'll go with the Dex 3,(type F will go in the Javelin ,once I get one).
I find ATF +3 or +4 works really good in the TF998 w/lockup, helps to delay the lockup a little longer and gives firm shifts for towing.
Good to know
