A few days ago, the driver's side front power window in my car was working fine, then yesterday, it was real slow going down once, and then it worked ok again. Today, I took the door panel apart to lubricate everything in the window mechanism. It was working great again, but then all of the sudden it got super slow, and now it won't move at all. The window in about 4/5 of the way down. When I press the switch, i can hear the motor trying to turn, so its not that. Any ideas or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
The window drive cable is snapped.

The window drive cable is snapped.
Wouldn't that cause the motor to just spin freely?
I don't think the cable has snapped because the motor doesn't actually spin, but it tries to, plus the glass sometimes moves up a tiny bit when the switch is pressed.
Maybe the remote cable for your side mirror has shifted inside the door, and is now in the path of the window.
You said lastly the window won't move at all not try to move. Its possible the cable is snapped in such a way it will just barely let the motor move, than bind up the motor. I have seen a bad cable make it impossible to pull out of the sheath.
The mirror cable is not in the way.
I think the window may be binding. I think the problem may be in the regulator. I got the motor out, but how does the cable disconnect from the regulator?
I got the cable out. Both ends are in good shape, however the cable seems to be seized. I assume that the cable should spin with very little effort, but mine is dead solid with the sheathing.

your lucky you have a possible few months of life left. try letting lube soak down threw an end.
it should spin free
I replaced/made my own cable to put in. Window works fine again.
