does anyone have any actual pictures of what i need to attach the louver?
Here are some pictures courtesy of SpiritGT. There are three types of louvers total. His are metal with a tube support in the center and these vertical bolt top hinges. There are also plastic ones that I believe have plastic hinges. The most common louvers are metal with two plastic stepped supports, which have hinges at the top.
The hinges are usually plastic with a groove in them. They often break. A hardware store hinge easily replaces the plastic version. The hinges themselves sit on a pedastal because they would be hinge-bound if they bolted directly to the curved surface.

Yours has the round tube in the middle? Then its identical to the pictures I just posted. I got them from SpiritGT here on the nest. The last two pictures show a hinge above and below.
