Hi everybody,
my name is Peter, I'm 29 years old and I live in Linz, the third biggest city in Austria.
I like american cars since I was 14 years old - it all started with an article in a magazine about a '68 Camaro.
My first american car was a 1989 Chevrolet Caprice with a 305 Chevy. Sold that one a few years ago
Three years ago I bought a 1994 GMC K2500 Suburban with the 454
Last year I wanted to buy a 81 AMC Eagle Wagon as project car and the seller had a second one (a 82 Wagon), which I also purchased. They are now waiting for my new garage to be finished (hopefully this spring) and then I will start to restore them as they need some love.
Besides that I am talking to a car dealer here in Austria who is selling a 81 SX/4, which I will most probably purchase very soon.
All three eagles have the 258, the wagons are automatic, the SX/4 would be manual.
I am pretty sure I will have a lot of questions once I start my project.
I will post pictures of my cars tonite, don't have them on this computer here at work.
If you have questions, just shoot
glad to be on board!
Welcome. Can't wait to see pictures.
Hi and welcome from a fellow European.
We like pictures very much.
found a few pics on facebook
the first one with my suburban was in december when we moved the eagles to a dry garage for the winter
the other pics were taken on the day of arrival

Welcome to the Forum! I'm kinda fond of the black ones! :occasion14:
Welcome to The Nest. Nice looking wagons there.
Welcome to the Nest! I think you are our first member from Austria. Although we have several others throughout Western Europe. Anyone having a fleet of Eagles is rare, more so in Europe. Are they all factory export models? Or were some/all brought over from the US or Canada?
I am not sure if they were imported or not.
I haven't had much time for the eagles up to now.
I don't want to do too much before my new garage is ready. They are standing in the new building now, but the owner will install a new roof within the next few weeks, so I have to pull them out.
But I will check the VINs, then we will know
And I know one more guy in Austria with at least 2 Eagles.
He just bought one in december as daily and he has another project and I think also a third one for parts, but not sure about the third one.
I'm not really in contact with him, but the next time I talk to him, I will tell him to join the nest

I kind of thought that was like a dark navy blue...now I can't tell!
Thanks for posting some pictures and look forward to seeing what you do with them.
Austria may become the AMC Eagle capital of Europe.
Glad you made it over here!
Welcome, new European member! Austria is loaded with Eagles......
Anjo
Holland
But the netherlands are too!
I almost bought an SX/4 a few months ago from the netherlands. it even had an austrian license
But some dutch guy was quicker than me :-(
From the owner I heard that this guy is an Eaglemaniac and is restoring and collecting these things.
So he is probably also a member here.
If someone out there bought a blue SX/4 with austrian license, please let me know if you really need that car.
I would also be interested just in the austrian license >:D
I believe he is a member here. I think its Anjou?
