Title: Only took 28 years...
Post by: JustinS on February 14, 2012, 10:21:04 PM
Hello All!

Like I said, it's only taken me 28 years to get an Eagle of my own, and it happened to be one of the body styles I had never had the pleasure of seeing in person.  :hello2:

I apologize for the quality (or lack thereof) of the pictures, as I took all of them with my cell phone.  Didn't have my camera with me.

For now, we're stuck 240 miles away from each other, as she needs work, I got a new job, and had to move into an apartment complex with no garage.   :banghead:

Bought her for $700 from a friend of a co-worker who needed a quick infusion of cash.

I can't wait until I can get into a place closer to work where I can get started on her.

Little front end damage it would seem, but overall appears to be in pretty decent shape. Hope her underside is clean!

The front end damage is from the previous owner.  He got too close to his own car while behind the stick of a loader at work.  Underside is "fairly" clean, but I'm still going to be going over it with a fine toothed comb as soon as I have her closer to me.

Right now, she's tucked away in my parents pole barn, safe and sound.

Thats a great looking SX4!! I just bought my first sx4 too, even has the damaged right front fender....Ive owned 10 Eagles over the years and literally every single one had a damaged right front fender. Other members have noted that too.

Weird, maybe the Eagle favors it's left eye!  :rotfl:

Very nice example of an SX/4.    Concord/Eagle/Spirit left side fenders tend to develop the "mystery dent" after a couple of decades.   So far, only my Concord suffers from that factory item.

Hmmmm come to think of it Freeagle had a little damage to the passenger side front fender and even TQ looks like the passenger side of the front bumper is pushed in a bit.

Thank you all very much!

One of the things I love about this deal is she was born only two months after I was.  I literally couldn't pass her up!

Thanks Big Abe!

I did find it a bit funny that the SX4 is shorter (bumper to bumper) than my store's commercial delivery vehicle, the new Ford Fiesta.   ;D

I couldn't agree with you more on that one JayRamb!

I've learned more browsing this site than I have in the last 10 years!
