Here is a question for someone: I have an 90 Cherokee with the 4.0L that I am getting oil in the air box. There is no blow bye on the motor, but I didn't get to check for vacum leaks yet, tomorrows job,. It's enough that it will leave a puddle after it is shut off.
Ant ideas??
Pcv system has failed.

Pcv system has failed.
That year Cherokee has a CCV system, no PCV vavle. There is a small "bleeder" hole in one of the elbows on the valve cover. They tend to get clogged and can cause that problem.

What he said. Once in awhile you have to unclog that line or the built up pressure in the motor will burn out the rear seal too!
Thanks to all of you, Eaglefreek; I was on that site after I was on here, almost as much info on there as there is on here!!
Going to get into checking it out as soon as it warms up outside, may have to pull the valve cover and make sure that reed valve is free, no biggy, I 've got one of those reusable Fel-Pro gaskets ($40.00), but well worth it. They should work on the 258's too.
Got it fixed, found the fitting that goes into thr manifold plugged, ererything else was open, but I cleaned it all up anyhow just to make sure. Amazing what years of neglect can do. It's running fine now. Thanks for all the help.
