Couldn't believe what I was seein as it rolled by me at a light - a daily-driver quality mid-60's Rambler, clearly a six cylinder judging the exhaust note. Sea green, think I remember it being a 2dr, with a white hardtop. Hope to see it again sometime, perhaps on campus somewhere, or when I'm in one of my AMCs, not my dd F150. Somewhere I can snap a pic of it, anyway, not dumbfounded while waiting fer a light that takes forever to change. By the time I said to myself, "Self, you should take a picture for the folks on the Nest . . ", the car was buzzing off around the corner, shiftin gears.
Which model was it? I think a lot of Classics came with that color scheme.
I'll have to go look in my AMC book, but I think it was a Classic. Had the small horizintal oval/squared-inside tail lights, and I think I recall seeing a "Classic" badge on it. My son was riding in the truck with me, and I pointed it out to him as the ancestor of our Eagle, to which he replied "Cooooolll!". The car was relatively loud for such a little thing, like it might have had a glass pack exhaust on that lil inline six.
