Title: replaced card now no idle
Post by: sammuel on January 26, 2012, 04:09:23 PM
Hey so I have been working with vac. lines etc. getting my eagle running better it was running quite well but then I removed the carb to try to get at the exhaust manifold and now after putting it back on the car starts and runs only for a few seconds then dies,if I keep my foot on the gas I can keep it running but unless I do that it sputters and dies within seconds I did no adjustments while it was off and I have triple checked and everything is back where it was. is there something that needs to be reset after temporarily removing the carb? or does tipping it on its side cause something internally to fall out of place? I had all wires disconnected while it was off and it did sit tipped to one side for a bit. I am somewhat stumped here

Sounds like a manifold vacuum leak.  Try PCV and or the port on the intake shared with your booster.

Or knocked loose a piece of crub in the lines which is now stuck on the aforementioned needle and seat (which make it flood out).
