Title: Hello from Alabama!
Post by: Camo Eagle on January 19, 2012, 02:39:02 PM
Hey y'all, hows it going? My name is Griffen Glover and im from the northeast corner of Alabama close to Ft. Payne/ Scottsboro. I have been looking for an eagle around here for the past couple of months but i had no luck. Finally there was a post on craigslist for a 1985 Camo Eagle, so i jumped on the chance and went and looked at it and got it for $1150. Its a little cold blooded and little hard to crank , but after it gets warmed up it does good. I love the thing though, I would really like to add some Rally lights and so on. Anyway i'll stop talking and link some pictures.

Welcome. I saw that one on Craigslist. I don't live too far from you in Fayetteville, TN at the TN/AL border. There aren't too many Eagles around here. I know of one in the Huntsville area and another in the Gadsden area but neither are members here. I look forward to your posts.

Welcome!! I found putting a new choke or even better a new carb makes these cars much less tempermental in the cold. With my new motorcraft carb I pump twice and she fires right up and stays running even in -2 degree weather. I have found that on the majority of these cars..atleast the ones i have owned...the choke no longer  works, thus having to sit there with the gas pedal down till it warms up.

Thanks guys, I will add more pictures in the near future. I will check about the choke, but the carb has a remanufactured sticker and it looks very clean. Also a little more info on the car:
*169,000 miles
*Automatic
*Complete camo interior and exterior (The way i bought it)

This is a really cool forum, I am looking forward to working with yall.

Thanks, Griffen
