Title: transfer case seals
Post by: kajsdf on December 18, 2011, 07:24:35 PM
according to the transfer case addendum in the eaglepedia (http://www.amceaglenest.com/~iowaeagl/guide/index.php?title=July_1985_-_IS_7E_-_General_Information_and_TSM_Pages_for_the_NP_128_Transfer_Case)
the seals for the driveshafts can be replaced without removing the transfer case, but basically goes on to tells you to remove it.  unless i am reading it wrong.

any of you have any input?

They can be replaced without removeing it.Just tap the news one in squarely without damageing the inner lip or seal. I used a seal puller to get them out, and a large diameter socket or a block of wood  to tap them in.
