Title: New member intoduction - hope this is the right area
Post by: SNOWMAGEDDON on December 13, 2011, 03:23:31 PM
Hi Everybody
My name is SNOWMAGEDDON - Jerry actually
I want to introduce myself -
I am a Muncie Indiana transplant form Iowa City Iowa
My new/old Eagle is in Indianapolis and hasn't come home yet
I will post pics as soon as I have her home
BUT
Aside from having hardly any and I mean hardly any brakes for the mostly Interstate (thank goodness) drive home I am afraid to cause my automatic trans some problems.
Fluid is off the stick and I bought some Dextro VI - couldn;t find Dextron III -
what ye' say - VI be ok?
Thanks again and sorry to open with "HELP" - but I can't really get into the dance without a partner
Thanks in advance
Jerry

dextron VI is fully backward compatible.  Even to type A trans fluid.

Thanks for the heads up
Can't wait to get her home
no brakes but supposedly all new brake parts? must be in the lines or the lines - hoping that's the problem anyway -

shoot- maybe they didn't bleed them down corrrectly

either way I'm in for the long haul -

thanks again

Dextron VI will be ok! As far as the brakes are concerned I believe I would pull the wheels and have a good look! If all looks good I would start by bleeding them and if thats not the case I would check the master cylinder next,Hopefully that will solve your brake problem!
