it's a little hard to see, but that's kenosha ave...of course, i drive a brampton eagle...but still cool!
Thanks for posting. Have a Good Egg!
Theres somthing about a well traveled Eagle. So many are confined to a small radius around their home base.....I love hearing about road trips in Eagles.....How did she run for ya?
ran great...most comfortable car trip ever. taking a trip to denver for new years, i plan to take the eagle again and hopefully stop by gronk's for a motorcraft upgrade

Let me know when you're going to be in Denver, we can have an Eagle mini-meet with Eaglebeek, Shanebo and whoever else we can get together. If you're in town for a few days we might even be able to arrange a trip to the Rambler Ranch.
Hey, I live by colorado springs too. I met up with Gronk a few weeks back. That would be cool to do a mini nest meeting.....and I would love to go to the rambler ranch...I missed out on it last time, and I'm dieing to know if that's my old coupe hes got out in the bone yard at the ranch.

Hey Shane, hopefully you'd be driving an SX/4 to the Rambler Ranch!
That's a great photo op. Kind of like my Eagle at Eagle Field Airport here. Thanks for sharing.

sadly i will not be able to make the trip after all -- hopefully we can work something out in the spring time though. i would love to make a meet of some type
Its all good I dont have a running Eagle yet so I would feel a little awkward showing up to the rambler ranch in my Chevy.
ha...if i can't figure out this clicky-clacky engine noise i'd be showing up in a focus...
Sounds like fun.

I don't normally get too excited about clickety-clack engine noises...particularly in 258s...and I'm guessing it's nothing more than a noisy hydraulic valve lifter.
However, if it's a hard knocking your noise needs to be looked at a bit harder. May I suggest you post a detailed description of your noise in "the mighty 258" board on the Forum and let's try to figure out exactly what it is. :eagle:
Better yet, can you record yourself mimicking the noise and post it? That always helps.
i'll do one better and try to get a video tomorrow.
No. Come on. I want t hear you make the noise. It's better that way, really..... :rotfl:
maybe i'll do both... ::)

I had a rattling noise under the hood this past weekend. It was the water pump bearing failing. It died on the Connecticut Tpke. Saturday night. I noticed a HUGE cloud of smoke emanating from the back of my Eagle, and heard the engine knocking (temp. gauge is not working). Pulled off the highway and Thank God there was a Starbuck's there, because it was freezing out! Popped the hood and saw everything was soaked in antifreeze. Called AAA and got some Hot Chocolate. We were far from home, but luckily my brother-in-law lives nearby and he rescued us. A local garage put in a new water pump & lower rad. hose and I picked the car up 2 days later.
Car is nice, quiet, and runs smoothly again. This is probably the 4th time (in 8 years) I've experienced total coolant loss and the engine has overheated badly. Fix the problem, fill with antifreeze, and she's running smoothly again. Tough engine that 258!
