4 Cylinder
HP 100
Torque 135

6 Cylinder
HP 110
Torque 205

The 'performance' spec's I can find show
4 Cyl
0-60 18.5 seconds
1/4 Mile 21.1

6 Cyl
0-60 15.2
1/4 Mile 19.6

I'd assume those stats are for a wagon.

The good thing is a with few mods like a a 4.0l cylinder head and a motorcraft carb you can almost double those numbers.

Yeah, I found a few people who reported making about 180HP from a 4.0 head, new carb, and a cam.

Second.  Don't forget about upgrading the ignition.

For very little $$$ you can make a lot of good, useable power.

JeepTech (http://jeeptech.com/convengine/index.html) has a good listing. AMC generally used one engine specification across all vehicles each year.

In the mid 70's the cams differed between 1bbl and 2bbl sixes for a time until emissions regs stabilized.

One user here dynoed their aging 258 and found that the factory numbers from AMC are quite accurate. I'd guess at any time with a good, tuned engine you'll be within 5%.
