Title: Power outlets
Post by: vangremlin on November 19, 2011, 11:38:26 PM
I'm always looking for new things to do to Pepe.  I was thinking of adding a couple of new power outlets/sockets so I don't have cables all over.  I found the following unit on Amazon, and would mount it on the floor between the front seats, but moved back a little.  I would probably run a wire from the fuse box, under the door sill molding, and then under the front seat to get there.

I'm hard wiring in 110vac outlets but they are only 85 watt (enough for laptops or cell phone charger)

I have one on a switch to the battery, and the other on a relay triggered from the ignition. Sometimes you want your phone to charge while you're running errands. Plus using a relay means that you're not going to overload the ignition switch.
