I have an 84 Wagon with the load leveler option. The compressor works and looks great;

I was curious so I let it run for a while and was expecting the rear to raise up a little bit (or something) but nothing. So I looked under the rear and did not see any air bags or air shocks.
What should be there? I'd like to keep this feature since I tow almost every weekend.
Since nothing is there should I go with air bags or air shocks? and how does the "AUTO" function work?
I've been searching for a couple of days and haven't been able to find a whold lotta info on the loadleveler feature.
Worst case, I will add some connections and always have air available for flats/toys/etc....
Air shocks
Auto leels the car. Somthing is attached to the axle and the body more on the pass side. Sould be very visible.
Does anyone have any pics of what attaches to axle/body to control the level? I am VERY interested in making this work and or course, mod'ing it to work better than intended.....
I guess even for control purposes, I can make a short in the trailer light plug that activates the load leveler to a preset height. That would beef up the rear anytime I hooked up a trailer. I'll keep that in the back of my mind if I can't make it work properly.
My body to axle thing rusted away. So used a inboard switch to air up whenever I want.
That's an idea too......... I love one-off features. Looks like I might actually get to keep my A/C in this one and will not be converting it to a compressor like in my Jeeps.
i have one on Survivor but my back yard is a bit of a mud hole so it will be a little bit before i can get under there to get a pic.
Awesome. No rush friend.
My '81 wagon has it, but I hope to get it rolling soon so I can test it
