My power seat cables are dry adn could use a little lubrication. My assumption is to disconnect the switch and take the cover plate off. Remove the power motor. Then spray lube in to the cables. I have a cable that won't move my seat forward or back. The motor has power but I've told by a Ford guy that the cables can become dry and kink against metal tubing and won't go freely. Anyone have this happen? Anyone have this experience?
The power window cables may suffer from the same lack of lube, as they are the same design. I suspect that lubing the cables (power seat and window) would prolong their life.
I would use white lithium grease or some graphite powder, there suppose to attract less dirt and grime.
