I have two sedans, but they're stored in locations that make it tough to get pictures.

So for the time being at least, I can't help with your request.  :-\

you can find them if you look hard enough.  There are more uncommon models like the kammback and the SX/4.  Then you have the RARE models like the turbo diesel and the Sundancer

Most of us use free Photobucket accounts.
www.photobucket.com
We recommend clicky pics.  This is a thumbnail picture that enlarges when clicked.
Photobucket has made a change in the way you copy the code.
Here is the way it looks to me:
For a single clicky pic, hover over the picture.  This will open a drop down menu.  Click on the fourth window, img.
It will then say "copied".
Go to the thread where you want to put the picture and paste it in.
I think this uploads a full size picture rather than a click pic.
For a single clicky pic follow the instructions for multiple pics.
For multiple clicky pics, hover over the pictures and click on the small box at the bottom of the picture.
Scroll down and click on "Choose action".  Click "Generate code for selected".
This will open another page.  Click on the third box, "IMG for bulletin boards & forums".  It will say "copied".  Paste it into the thread of your choice.
In both instances you can select "Preview" to make sure it is what you want before you post it.

Personally, I like the Eagle Sedan.  I got a great deal on my wagon, so I couldn't pass it up, but a sedan was my first preference - If I had the choice.

alot of times when an eagle is in the salvage yard it is ither someone failed inspection and don't think there are collectors for the car or a relitive has died and instead of trying to find a new owner for the car they take the tax break and donate it to one of the numerious foundations (kidney foundation was the biggest one when I lived out in utah)

I just got a 1980 2-door Sedan.  It is so rad.  It makes my '88 wagon look like a normal car!
It needs a few things most importantly new front wheel bearings and tires.  Any help sourcing those bearings would be greatly appreciated. :help:

Pics to come!

Pics to come...

Anywho, I've been a little confused by these bearings.  I've read that some of the '80 and '81 eagles use different bearings then the rest, I've also seen the Fed A-40 and Timken set26 listed for all years.  Calls to local parts stores have been no help as most of them don't even have listings for this car.  I don't want to get the wrong parts.  I want this baby on the road asap!

It looks like it drove off the set of the new Mad Max film.  Flat (sanded down) Black, 2" lift, on 235's.  :censored: cool.
...oh yeah, and it's a sport model.

I'm not sure but I believe the early bearings were ball bearings and are no longer available but that the later tapered roller bearings will work for replacement.

Well thanks for those part numbers.  The Bearings are in, tapered roller type, two sets for each side.  I also put in new front brakes and a new (rebuilt) axle on the passenger side.  New BFG All-Terrain 215/75R15's sitting on Cherokee Mag's.  It's looking real good to me. :hello2:

Sorry it's taking so long for pic's.

Kinda gives me incentive to get one or both of my 1980 coupes on the road.

But, since this is a sedan thread, I suppose I should dig up a picture of my sedan instead.

you should at the very least get that 1980 sport coupe outta that field.  There's no rot on her yet, but if she sits there for too long, there will be.

If you 'save an eagle' from rotting in some field, just to put it in another field to rot, you haven't really saved it.  You've just purchased it, and relocated it.   I'd be saying get that one driving as soon as you can.

I agree. Get it out of that field and send it on a nice winter vacation in beautiful, salt free Florida She she can play with my coupes.

I thought the 2 door coupe was a 2 door sedan.  That's what we've been calling them on the forum.

I thought the 2 door coupe was a 2 door sedan.  That's what we've been calling them on the forum.

Well, technically it is, (considering it's classed by the pillar config, and body style) but originally a coupe was considered a two door car with two windows, and 2 or 4 seats.

So since the opera window is mounted in the C pillar, I don't really consider it a true window (like a proper side window), so I still call them a coupe.   I'm sure either side of this opinion could be argued at length.

I've always found that confusing that any 2 door car with a trunk could be called a sedan.   Personally, it's just wrong, but to each his own.

Anyways, isn't it shorter to say (or type) "coupe" then it is to say, "2 door sedan" ?   :banghead:
