I met up with a group of people from http://www.expeditionportal.com/forum/index.php in Dahlognea, GA, Saturday morning, for a day of fun. I got there a day early and camped at Desoto Falls Campground. I had a great time and met some fantastic folks. That's freaking awesome. the only eagle there.
Great pics! Keep 'em coming.

Great stuff! How did the Eagle do?
Actually, I was quite surprised. But I think the other participants were even more surprised on it's capabilities. If it wasn't for Bill with the new Dodge Powerwagon egging me on, I probably wouldn't have tried half the stuff I did.

Some nice (stock?) rigs there, & I LOVE your spare tire holder. Modified Jeep with a custom bumper, I'm guessing? I'm hoping to do something similar, get rid of that roof rack I've got (no offense, Mick, but it loves branches & plays merry havoc with my clearance on some of the trails around here :P). Did you air down much/at all? Or did that trail not require it?
No, I made the rear bumper/tire carrier from scratch. Most of the guys aired down but I didn't. My goal was not to get pulled out of anything and I made it through everything. I did bypass one spot that I was worried about getting through without damage.
As far as mostly stock rigs, yes most were mostly stock. The Exterra had a paper tag and only had 1000 miles on it. The white Rubicon was a company vehicle for one guy. His company told him he could lease anything as long as it was a US brand so the he got a Rubicon. ;D I was amazed on how capable some of those stock rigs were. The Toyota Tacoma seemed to struggle with open diffs front and rear.
WOW! I am impressed! That trail looks like the terrain I took my Eagle on for the first time. I assume you have a low range case? It is very hard to 'wheel with the single speed case in an Eagle. The 10th photo is the best! Try that with your stock granny wagon!
Cool!
Thats some georgeous scenery there.....By the way I love how you got the heavy duty back bumper rigged up with the swing away spare....Did you fabricat that yourself?
Thats awesome! Thats some clean work there.
Rollguy, I did install a low range case but didn't use the low range there. Here's a link to the rear bumper build http://forums.amceaglenest.com/index.php?topic=35492.0.
