I drove it through the winter as my winter daily driver and on into the spring until I got my 5 speed Jeep. This car has come a very very long way, and about a month ago, I was considering to sell it. Mainly because having so many cars is really hard to keep up with as you may know... But I bought these chrome wheels skins for the Jeep rims I have on the car (my plan was to put them on my SX/4 when I were to sell the car), and really...it changed my mind about selling it completely. I couldn't believe how the car was transformed just by these chrome wheel skins.
I started to fix the damages and imperfections the car had, and each thing I would fix...it kept on looking better and better... Then I gave it a coat of wax for the first time since I've had it....and WOW the car came to life. I thought I gave the car a second chance when I first got it, but when the coat of expensive wax went on, it truly got a chance at a second life...it made me fall in love with the car.
With the Wisconsin Dells car show coming up in a week, I started making a press to get the car fixed up before Saturday, the day of the car show. My dad helped, and we fixed 3 of the 4 endcaps that were squashed or missing, painted all of the endcaps the right color, painted some rust spots on the car, put back on the missing trim, and installed a pair of fog lights that I bought long long ago for the car.
I must say, I never thought I would take the car to a car show, I never thought the car could ever look good again. But my dad and I got it done, and you HAVE to see this Eagle now... It's amazing and I hope you think so too.
The spectators at the Wi. Dells car show went crazy over my Eagle, I was busy talking to people all of the time and filling in people on the car's history all of the time. It was a great time, and so many great stories were told. It was a lot of fun.
This car has come a long way, give this Eagle a round of applause :hello2: It survived for 6 years at a junkyard where it was forgotten in a shed. Give "Woody" a hand, he deserves it.

Thanks guys :) Woody has come so far, and looks amazing. I may not have covered everything that happened over the months, but it has been a journey... From pushing it into my school's auto shop day 1, to driving it 60 miles to the Wisconsin Dells grand-daddy car show.
Yet, work isn't done on Woody. He still runs a little rough, and still has the clicking from the tappets. Plus I noticed the alternator light is on very faintly... It could use some professional body work as well in some places too. But I'm strapped for cash...Somehow, someway...I will get through my economical troubles and keep Woody. As I think about what I would say in the future...: "Man, I really wish I would've kept that car..." I don't want that to happen... I'm attached to it now... like family... Hopefully that doesn't sound weird... ? :P ::)
i got the light issue also,,but i found that the plug on the side is full of goo/dirt and when i need i can reach in and give it a couple plug/unplug,s and a shot of cleaner,,usually clears things up a minuete

I don't think it is a factory paint scheme, but I don't know for sure. I talked to the guy, it's a '75 Pacer, but has a '78-'80 grille because it has a stroked 383 under the hood :o :P

Hi, this post is from Robert's Dad showing my former Eagle "woody" wagon in above picture. I drove this Eagle wagon daily for 20 years. It took us on many family vacations to many many USA States during those years. A few times we had to fold down the front seats and sleep in the car at night due to not finding a hotel room. It even brought Robert home from the hospital when he was born back in 1992. But all those Wisconsin "salty" winter roads ate away the body, and I had to "retired" it a few years ago. As the left side shock tower and lower control arm rusted away and folded in, causing it to not be able to steer. Not to mention many other places of the body that were rusting away hidden by the rubber sides next to rocker panels and wheel flares. But if you look close at this picture of my retired Eagle, you will notice the rear bumper with flat trailer hitch is now on Robert's Jr Eagle. Also the front bumper, door bottom rubber trim, front and rear bumper rubber end caps, some fender and door trim, carburetor, front axles, under hood heater parts, wiper arms, and many other odd and ends now live on Roberts woody Eagle, and his white Eagle that was his Grandpa's car. Robert is lucky that I learned years ago to keep certain spare parts around, which some are hard to find. As at the Dells car show on Saturday, he opened up the rear hatch, only to have the left hinge break off! I told him not to worry, I have some good hinges at home. So when we got home, in no time we had another one put on, and as good as new! So we went back to Dells show on Sunday, and we just took his Eagle woody wagon, and it rained hard most of way home. Then just when we got into our home town, driving by Wal-Mart, a gust of wind and rain comes and "blows Off " the right windshield wiper! So we ran into Wal-Mart and bought a new one to put on my old Eagle wiper arms that are now on his Eagle. Anyhow, now you know why Robert likes a woody wagon, since he has been riding in one almost his whole life!

Absolutely beautiful! man, I'm almost jealous that you had the parts and resources to get your eagle looking like that! Looks fresh off the factory floor, I can almost smell the "new car" smell.... That's a clean that I'm only able to aspire to, but short of achieving, for now. Eggs!
