alright guys can i safley run a 8 guage wire from the ignition post on the solonoid to a secondary fuse box for my 12 volt accessorys? or is there another spot i can run it too? i just want this fuse box to have power when i got the key turned
Will your alternator handle the extra load you intend to add to it?
oh yeah. thats not a problem
I am thinking you could, are you also going to fuse the 8 ga primary?
most likely for a secondary backup for my accessories.
OK -- now you have me intrigued as to why?
why? why what? why the scondary fuse box? im tired of running wires to the battery or pulling power from the orginal fuse box. so i figure ill just put a fuse box in my passenger kickpanel since i no longer have my computer
I wouldn't. The ignition post is not for feeding power but for power to be fed to it, if that makes sense. Your best bet would be to use a relay that will energize with the ignition on.
