There is a similar post like this but no one followed thru, Dang it
I have no exhaust from the cat back, besides clamps & muffler what parts do I need?
A quick search @ napa lists tail pipe PN# 44537 & PN# 42634 as an Intermediate pipe, ok whats an intermediate pipe , & Where does it go, over or under?
To be honest no really that comfortable with the pipe over & under thing, the Cat seems to be @ an angle of 45*{?}
wouldnt it be easier just to get a pipe with a matching 45* bend, then run it straight back to the passengers side of the car, has anybody done this, you got any pics & advice .
The last post like this had over 900 views, when I'm done I'll post with pictures promise .
Thanks nester's
Does this help? From the diagram section of the AMC Eaglepedia
(http://www.amceaglenest.com/%7Eiowaeagl/guide/images/5/55/Exh6.jpg)
The intermediate pipe is the rear exhaust pipe in the diagram.
You may be able to do what you are thinking about, but the parts can be bought ready to put together as they were originally. It just takes a little finessing to wiggle it all in place.
I worked from the back towards the front. Left everything kind of loose so final finessing could be accomplished.
I'm sorry I should have just checked eaglepedia first, I ve decide to stick the stock setup, for now.
THanks.

Ok so my pipes arrived, not sure but I don't think these are quite right with the fit, take a look @ the pictures, I don't think the muffler is supposed to be facing the back tire, any thoughts ??

Hi gang, just a quick update. After a 2nd set of pipes I ran into the same problem, nothing fit!!!, It stands to reason that if the both sets of pipes were the same ,the problem must be elsewhere. A quick search on Evil Bay for "AMC Eagle catalytic converter " confirmed my theory, somebody installed the wrong catalytic converter , this is the offending part, Catalytic Converter CERAMIC MONOLITH NATURAL SINGLE . I'm looking at new converters and came across this Eastern catalytic 10145 w/o air tube , can anybody tell me if this looks like the correct part??. As a work around I slapped on a glasspack, it kinda lowered the volume . As always thanks in advance..
