Title: Brake peddle to tail light sending unit on peddle working backwards
Post by: Hawk258 on April 07, 2011, 06:41:10 AM
Ok. so I fired the eagle up the other day and I was testing the lighting on it... well the brake lights are working... just backward, the brake lights are on under normal daylight operations (IE NO lights turned on) and go out once I hit the brakes... And don't work at all when the light are turned on... is it the sending switch on the peddle? HELP?  :help: please?

It may just be a ground problem. I had the same issue with the sx/4, all I did was clean all the light sockets, and cleaned my grounds, then cleaned the brake lamp switch. All was good after that...

Ground, or a cruise control switch on the pedal. Some have two sets of contacts, one for the brakes, and one for cruise.

Cruise switches often work just like you described.
