There is a real cool guy that comes into our store who drives a nice old 1980 sedan. the paint is oxydized but all in all real nice car....interiors mint! I see him quite alot and I finally got a memory card in my phone so I snapped some pics today (http://i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc377/shanebo79/2152.jpg)(http://i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc377/shanebo79/2151.jpg)
EGGSellent sighting! Thanks for sharing!
In reference to a different post on badges..it does have the "automatic 4wd" badge on rear panels and glove box instead of the "four wheel drive" badges on the select trac Eagles....the other thing i noticed is it had different bumpers ends...I wonder if that was a 1980 thing or were they a trasplant off a concord?
That's an 80' thing. I had an 80 wagon that had the exact same stuff.
Thank you Mavericke...That was gonna bug me all night!! I havent had the liberty to see very many 1980 Eagles. Makes them the easiest to idendtify though.
There is a 1980 sedan in the junkyard in Fort collins (where I DO plan on getting my fricking seats one of these days...).. still has a perfectly intact grille ;)
hey shanebo when we do meet you'll get to see another 1980 eagle. ;D ;D ;D
Yes. 1980 Eagles used the same bumper ends as Concords and Spirits.
I cant wait to see it...is that the one with the factory CB?
Does that one have the horizontal slats Tougeagle? I might have to take a drive up there one of these days and grab it...I like those alot more than the egg crate ones.

Yeah, it's metal, horizontal. I've also been considering snatching the transfer case from it as a spare...
yes it is the one with the factory CB in it. ;D ;D 8)
Id love to see it....I havent seen one of those factory cb's since I was a kid.
Eventually I hope to either get one of the horizontal slat grills or better yet the cross bar Spirit grill...Id best concentrate my efforts on getting my eagle driveable first though.
