Wanting to change my headlights, so I can see better at night.
But first I need new headlight bezel screws, so that I can re-attach the bezels. The Phillips slots are rusted.
So, first question is:
Where can I find new screws or screws that are reasonably close to the original style? (Vendors, Part Store, etc.)
Or I'd be willing to buy a set from a nester with a parts car, if they are in really good shape. (Need something better than what I have).
Next, I was wondering; What is a good headlight upgrade?
I was thinking of just using Sylvania SilverStar Halogen Sealed Beams which claim to be up to 40% brighter than what I have.
Or I've seen the sealed beam conversions that use H4 bulbs which would be 100-400% brighter. Even come in rear projection and such.
Anyone have experience with either of these and know how they compare to standard (non-halogen) sealed beams?
Also wondering if the conversion kits are a direct hook-up, or if changes need to made in the headlight switch and such.
I have a halogen conversion done on my 83 wagon and I love them

Right now i am running cool blue bulbs but i am going to be upgrading the low beam to a set of HID bulbs. then shopping for bulbs they are a bit on the pricy side for good units, I have priced the low beam bulbs at walmart for 50 dollars a pair and the high beam bulbs at 20 a piece. remember when you go to get bulbs that the low beam are a 3 prong and the highs are only 2 prong
I believe they are all #8 pan head black oxide tapping screws of various lengths. I would think better hardware stores or other fastener outlets would have them. I buy them in bulk for the EN store but we do not have the lengths needed for the headlight bezels.

Reverandbill, where did you get your halogen conversion units? It looks sharp! Thanks.
