In this picture taken by Nashkid in the return to eagle motel post...there is a teal wagon about 4 cars in or so...I gotta say I love that color scheme and never seen it before. I figure its likely a nest members and I was just wondering if thats original or custom....(http://i1208.photobucket.com/albums/cc377/shanebo79/IM0002281.jpg)
I have not seen that Teal Eagle before that I can remember.
Looks like the one that Alan owns, but not his. Its a factory color, I am guessing Slate Blue Metallic. These pictures are from the 2008 Toledo meet.

Most of those are Terry's(Nashkid) Eagles. If I remember correctly, besides mine there were only 4 other Eagles owned by others. Eaglebeek, Terry's mechanic, his mechanic's daughter, and a guy from the local AMC club.
that looks like the sea blue metallic color according to the paint chip cards
Hmmmm, So that probably was a factory color eh....I Like!!....Ginger may end up that color someday...Thanks for lookin that up for me Bill....I promised myself that I would not do anything non-AMC to Ginger....To be honest I was not real fond of alot of AMC's colors in the 80's, I really like that one though...And i cant say Ive ever seen one wearing that shade before..or maybe i have and it was so faded i didnt notice ;D
1980 model year had the best colors in my opinion ..... an emerald green is my personal favorite
Seems like they kinda went to the earth tones later on....drifting away from the brighter colors of the seventies.

hey do you have the paint chips from 83 or are they same.

a tip for anyone looking to repaint their eagle to a factory color, alot of these colors are very hard to get the mix codes for. One of these days when i am slow at work i am going to pull out the thousand or so paint chip cards we have so that i can get the proper "new colors" (it is amazing how auto manufacturers revert to old colors and call them something new)
thanks bill i'm trying to figure out which shades of blue would look good together for when i finally get the chance to paint survivor.

I was there...but the teal wagon is not mine. Mine is brown and was at the far end in this photo.
In addition to the people named by eaglefreek Mick and StrikeEagle also had their Eagles at this meet.
Man...the colors sure got blander after 1980....Are those color charts available for viewing here on the nest? I dont ever recall seing them.

tell me about it the blues for 80 are nicer than the ones for 83. i would still like to see all the shades of blue that amc had from 80 to 88.
We have a link down in the links board. Or just google, Auto Color Library.
