Post by: Desert Eagle on January 31, 2011, 09:33:56 PM
Hey, its been a while, eagles been great, but recently im in need of a flexplate. What a bitc# to find, anyway its the sx4 (duke) with the 3 speed auto, if anybody has either a great condition used(unlikely) or knows where i can find one new, please let me know asap, i got my tranny rebuilt at 74k miles after metal shavings were found in the T-oil, its sitting on a lift in need of a flexplate, we already tried 3 different ones with no luck

You may want to try NAPA, they used to handle them, or if you can determine that the plate is GM, they may be able to get one. Check some of the racing sites, never know may get lucky. Could always get a slab of steel and cut one from that, may vibrate a little.   LOL

Don't know if you can find a part number for one in the Eaglepidia, worth a try

Found some part numbers there under "Transmission"  813-2463 and 325-1266. It shows a good break down of it.  Good luck!

did you ever find a flexplate? I got a spare trans with my Spirit, has an extra flexplate. Not sure if its the correct one, though. a photo of yours can help me make sure its for the Iron Duke and not an I-6
