I had a doctor visit in Cortez today. On the way to town, the molding at the bottom of the driver side windshield took flight. I went back and could not find it. Then, just outside of town, the LF tire started to make noise and Thump then fump-fump-fump. Lost a chunk of the Dunlop Rovers that had been on the Eagle for many years. I made the rounds and then hit the tire shops. I had been looking at tire options this week online. I finally opted for 4 new 205 r75 15 Nokian Vatiiva AT light truck tires. These will work pretty good for the miles of dirt we drive around here in nice seasons and the snow in winter...

I would get pix on the Eagle but it is snowing to beat the band this evening!
Just looked at the reviews, seem to be decent tires. Let us know how they work out.
Nokians are good tires, I always prefer to run Hakkapeliittas in the winter. I have a set on my Subaru, and that thing was unstoppable last winter, especially in nasty slushy stuff that took full advantage of the AWD capabilities.
I wanted some Hancook Winter iPikes but had to drive too far to get them.
Nokians on Eagle:

Those should serve you well.
Those Tires....... look very familiar....... I do believe those are the same tires on El Matadors wagon! As far as I know they have never let him down. and from what little I've driven on them they seem like a fairly sturdy tire. not a whole lot of sidewall lean while still staying soft for ice.
Hey fulsizjeep, I thought I told you once before to stop flaunted your Wagon all over the place. That's indecent !

I can't help it. That thing got me through a lot of foul winter driving. Now pretty attached to it. ;D

I sure hope so. The roads around here are in sore need of repairs and the road up in Mesa Verde is known to eat tires. I would like to get at least 3 years out of them. The tread design should help on jaunts above treeline too! ;D

Such a pretty Eagle I want to do that color scheme on mine.
That's nice picture, it has ROTM potential, now find a theme (mountain Eagles?)
These tires have been serving me well for almost a year. Great traction on ice and snow.
