I just recieved my new Walker exhaust pieces. My '85 wagon has the tailpipe on the drivers side - I can't seem to make the new pieces go together and get out that side. Is the tailpipe suppose to go out the passenger side ?
Where do the problem areas seem to be?
I have it laid out on the floor at my shop - I'm just not seeing how it's going to get back accross the third member. It may all work out, but since I'll be 20 miles frome home when I do this, I was trying to get my ducks in a row. We'll see tommorrow if it all fits. What's under there now is a cobbled-leaky mess.
Walker p/n 42634 brings it from the cat converter to the muffler on the driver's side
I was wondering if he had that cross over pipe.
I have all the pieces on the Walker diagram as well as a piece of pipe and a flange I made to put in place of the catalitic converter. I had no succes getting the flange nuts loose. I'm on to plan B - , cut the pipe, pull the manifolds, replace the intake with my C-series intake and Holley 390 4-bbl and hope I have the right cross-over ( the part numbers match the diagram ). I need to rotate the carb 90 degrees to keep the intalation clean and easy. I'll try again next weekend.
My flange plate was detached by a deer. I just slid my cat replacement pipe over the deflanged pipe and clamped it on.
My eagle still has the hanger for the flange, so I figure I'd keep it

Lookie there - figured how to post pictures !
Congratulations! On the picture posting and it looks like the mock up is just the way it should be.
Yup, should slide right into place. Plenty of room under the Eagle.
Well, the exhaust is on after the usual things that go wrong - broken exhaust studs. Things fit pretty well - I did have to modify the tail pipe a bit. All in all not a bad project. Looks like I'm going to have to wait on the 4bbl intake until I come up with a way to operate the kick-down linkage.
Good to hear. Yes, our exhaust system is not that bad to work on when you have all the right parts.
Pictures Are Very Kool, but you aint got Cat, HMMM...
Do you mean me? My Eagle wanted to be Canadian.
