What carb is best for my 83 Eagle 4.2 L six?

My 83 white Eagle Wagon needs a new carb. The Bad carb is a Ford. Wouldn't I be better off putting a new Oem Carter C6214 back on it. All I'm finding is Carter Type. Is Carter out of business. If so what is a quality Carb to get?

Where are you located because I have Two original carter's plus a rebuild kit. By the way I'm in Colorado.

I know its pricey but could go fuel injection Holley sniper or Performance fuel injection TBI
