SX/4 Rear Bumper End Cap Question
« on: September 26, 2015, 10:29:11 AM »
Our project 1983 SX/4 needs rear bumper end caps. I understand that the rear caps are specific only to the SX/4 and are difficult to find. I'm sure that used ones will be brittle and have a tendency to crack just like the current ones.
I haven't been able to find anybody who reproduces these parts. Does anybody know if an end cap from a Jeep Cherokee XJ could be modified to use in a pinch?

A forum member was able to make some Eagle wagon rear end caps work on his Kammback.  The SX/4 would be similar except they are slightly shorter.

Also, I understand there was some talk a couple months ago on the Eaglesden Facebook page about someone reproducing the SX/4 end caps.  I'm not a member but someone told me that it could be in the works.  You may also want to check there.  Good luck!
