119 to 129 transfer case swap

Any sense doing this? If so, what needs to be done besides running the vacuum lines?

Nothing as far as I know. It will allow you to shift on the fly with a dash switch to 2wd. Other than that, no added benefit (other than a slight fuel economy increase and less drivetrain wear)
AMC/Jeep gauges are for amusement only. Any correlation between them and reality is purely coincidental!

Not really. Unless the 119 is toast and you can't find a replacement, there really is no reason to go through the trouble in my opinion.
